Nothing to say
post entry title background

I have been very quiet.  Not much has been going on.  So, I really don’t have anything to say.

Moo and Master C are back at school.  They seem happy enough with their new classes.  Moo doesn’t scream nearly as much as he did last year at the mere thought of having to go to school.

Master C has been having growing pains lately.  He is going to be a tall kid after all.  A few days ago, he limped down the hallway, sobbing that his legs hurt.  He lay down on the couch rolling around in the excruciating pain that he was suffering.  Moo looked up from where he was sitting and in a lightbulb moment, said to Master C, “you have what I get”.

Now I love Master C a lot but he is prone to the over-exaggeration and theatrical performances at times.  I have no doubt that what Master C experiences as growing pains has nothing on the spasms and spasticity that Moo feels each and every day, night and whatever is in between.

After a dose of pain medication, Master C was no better and his face was all blotchy and red from the crying.  So I made the choice to take him to work with me.

B I G   M I S T A K E.

Not only was Master C fine within 10 minutes of arriving at work, but Moo had another lightbulb moment.  He worked out that all he had to do to get a day off school was complain about his legs hurting.

So whilst we don’t have a child who screams at the thought of going to school, we do have one who announces each morning that his legs hurt so he can’t go to school today.

The baby, Scrappy, is growing up too quickly.  Although he is now three, he still holds onto his dummies.  All at once.  That’s right, he walks around with about 5 dummies in his hands.  And his swimsuit tucked under his arm.

Scrappy loves swimming.  He and Master C would quite happily spend their days in the pool if they could.  It seems that whenever I turn my back, Scrappy is naked and trying to get dressed in his swimmers.

Scrappy has also moved forward to being toilet trained during the day.

Recently hubby and I were exercising out on the patio.  We complained about the smell and made comments about how we wished our dog Shadow would go and do number 1’s elsewhere, suspecting her of having done them in the nearby garden.

Later that night, Scrappy announced while we were eating dinner that he needed to go to the toilet to do wee wee’s.  Since he was in undies, we told him to take himself to the toilet.  I looked over to see that he had opened the screen doors, whilst remaining inside, pulled down his pants and was peeing on the patio.

I think my criticism of Shadow was a bit unfounded.

My sis is getting married in a couple of days.  Moo asked her if that meant she was going to get some kids now.  Apparently, it doesn’t.

Congrats to K & L.  Fingers crossed for sunshine this weekend.

Part of the reason why I have been so quiet is that my spare time has been taken up with house searching.  Finding an accessible house isn’t easy.   Not to mention an accessible house that we can afford.  I think I could write a blog on searching for accessible housing . . .

    Congrats to your sister!

If I complain about my legs, can I get out of tomorrw?

Potty trained? Sheesh. I need to work on that.

I would certainly like to hear about the search for the accessible house. I think it’s one of the (many) things that policy makers don’t think about so much when they are policy making.

I also think I will have sore legs tomorrow, but does that mean I have to go to school with the Noodle instead of work?

    HI Jacqui,

Am slowly trying to catch up with you! I felt bad I was MIA around the time of Moo’s surgery… surgeries suck as a rule.

I love the stories of the boys though, it’s great you have this blog to look back and remember so many endearing moments. Good luck with your house search. Accessible house is something we have been morphing our house into not with out lots of pain, time and money…it’s hard and did I mention expensive!
