There is a lot of benefit from being a part of an on-line group. I’m a member of CPecialparents, which is an Australian support group for parents of children with CP. For those of you in America, I know that there is also CP Moms, run by Billie over at Micro Preemie Twins.
Susan (thanks Susan) who doesn’t have a blog but comments regularly here, told the CPecial Parents group about this. I have been looking for ages for something for Moo as I really miss that we can no longer go for rides together.

As luck would have it, the Zigo people were on the Gold Coast showing bike shops up here and came over to our place to give a demonstration. And Moo loved it. He loves the security he has in it. The stability and that he doesn’t feel like he is going to fall out. Also that he is out front and has full view of everything going on. I like that I can talk to him and see him (which you don’t have with the more traditional trailers).
What Moo doesn’t like is that his brothers want to ride with him in it. To be honest, I’m not fussed on that either because they are SO HEAVY. I guess my leg muscles will get a work out.
For older children, I really like the Duet Bike.
Moo & I have had a couple of small rides. I’m looking forward to the weekend to go for a longer ride. Maybe, he will let me take some photos – you never know your luck.

Looks great! I like that it is in front, rather than behind. We bought a double wide bike trailer last summer, and got some good use out of it by strapping a small blue tumbleforms in for extra support for Eden. Only problem…the girls fight almost the entire time and it gets really, really annoying! Next summer we might have to put Eden in the trailer, and get Holland a seat to ride up with one of us. Happy riding!

We wish you & Moo many happy hours of cycling together Jac (and maybe a few little trips for brothers too)!
Hey Bron, do you mean/know “Margie A. from Yarraville VIC”? (Listed as the winner on the Zigo Aust website.) Does she have a child with a disability?
I meant to enter the comp and then forgot all about it… Hope it went to someone who can really use/appreciate it!!

Looks great. My son (former 25 weeker) is 3.5 years old with dyskinetic quad CP (plus hydrocephalus and seizures). He currently weighs about 28 lbs. I’m wondering how long he might be able to ride in this kind of bike. I’d love to get back into biking, but haven’t done so because I’m not comfortable putting behind me in a trailer.
