My 7-yr-old son has the K450 chair (actually this is his second one in 9 months!) The chair is fabulous... when it works. We had so many issues with the first one, Permobil had to replace it with a brand new chair. We are now 4 weeks in to having the new one, and guess what, it shut down on us this week and, once again, my son is without power mobility. If Permobil can work out the kinks, I highly recommend this chair! Also note that we've found it extremely difficult to have this chair serviced. Not many techs are certified to work on Permobils, which delays the process when it does break down. Best of luck to you! It's very hard to get this across to people. People seem to treat you sometimes as if having someone in the family with a disabilty is a lifestyle choice and you should be left to get on with it however you choose. But there is no choice, and services are far and few between and don't connect and it all takes time and money, even the things that aren't supposed to take money. And no one understands what's going on, so even if they want to help they often get it wrong and just take up even more of your precious, precious time.
